Description: Austree Willows are a hybrid willow tree developed in New Zealand, a cross between the White Willow (Salix Alba) and Corkscrew Willow (Salix Matsudana). Their dense, upright and rapid growth habit makes them a excellent choice for windbreaks and privacy screens. Due to an extensive root system and tolerance of flooding, they are often used to stabilize soil on riverbanks and other areas prone to erosion. Once established, they can grow more than 5 ft per year.
